The Pennsylvania National Guard has filed an environmental assessment, detailing its plan to destroy the last remaining colony of Regal Fritillaries in eastern North America. NABA has submitted comments, objecting to the Guard's proposal. This has caused the Guard to delay the implementation of its plan. As we go to press, we do not yet know how the Guard plans to proceed. As developments occur, we will make this information available to NABA members.
